Gold Open Access – OnlineOpen. This journal offers authors an open access option called OnlineOpen, to have their article freely available to everyone, including those who don´t subscribe. To cover the cost of publishing OnlineOpen, authors pay an article publication charge (APC).

Open access comes in different varieties, or colors, each with its own costs and benefits. In what’s called gold open access, articles carry a license making them freely available on publication.
